Is Big on Bouncing reliable, professional and most importantly, child friendly?

Definitely!! We have two children of our own and know how important the combination of fun and safety are!   We are a Family run Business and have been successfully trading for 20 years.

Are your Bouncy Castles, Soft Play and Inflatable Slides available all year round?

Yes, we operate 364 Days a Year!  Indoors and Outdoor venues! (Outdoor Bookings are always subject to safe weather conditions).

Are you covered by Public Liability Insurance

Yes, we are covered up to 5 million pounds, including Insurance for operating on Licensed Premises. A copy of our Insurance certification is available on request.  Please note:  It is the responsibility of the person who is hiring any Inflatable/or equipment to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid any injury or damage to the Inflatable at all times.  Big on Bouncing Limited cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any accidents, injury or Loss sustained to any person’s through the use of our equipment.  Big on Bouncing Limited must also warn the hirer that if any accident occurs from the hirers neglect to the supervision then the hirer will be responsible and not Big on Bouncing Limited.  It is strongly recommended that the hirer has adequate public liability insurance covering his or her liability arising from the use of the equipment and their participants. 

Do we have to collect the Castles from you?

No, our prices include delivery (Subject to our Free delivery area), setting up and dismantling of all of our Equipment. We do not allow any of our equipment to be erected or moved once installed by anyone but ourselves.

What age group are the castles suitable?

We have a wide selection of  Bouncy Castles, Slides, Disco Domes, Soft Play and Assault Courses suitable for both Children and Adults. Adults are not allowed or insured on the Children’s Bouncy Castles or approved under Health and Safety guidelines. You are able to view our User Guide on each Inflatable to make sure the equipment you are booking is suitable for your event before booking.  If you require any guidance on this feel free to email us at

Are the Inflatables clean and tidy?

Yes they are, all of our inflatables are cleaned prior to you using them. If they do get dirty we would ask you please to clean and leave the inflatable in the same condition you received it in.  (Please note if the Inflatable is collected in a dirty condition then the hirer will incur a cleaning charge of £100.00).  We rotate our stock regularly so always keep a look out for new Inflatables and equipment regularly arriving.

Can you put the Bouncy Castle up on any surface?

Flat Grassed areas are the most suitable, although as you can see we also cover many Indoor venues which are also fine. The outdoor area that we require needs to be free from any sharp objects, loose gravel, chippings, Dog droppings, trees, washing lines and plants etc. We require a clear 2ft extra either side of the inflatable and 5ft in front to make it easy for use and safe for children either entering or exiting the Inflatable and 5ft behind the inflatable for the blower.  We are unable to hire Inflatables that are required to be set up on hard surfaces including concrete, tiles, patios, astro turf and artificial grass etc for Health & Safety reasons.

Can you go through my house?

We prefer to deliver our Inflatables through a side entrance or rear access, due to the weight of the inflatables. But if you do not have any of the above, please let us know and we will arrange the inflatable to suit your needs (size permitting).  We do not accept any liability for any damage to your property if you require Big on Bouncing staff to bring our Equipment through your Property.

Are you members of any organisations that are important to the Bouncy castle Business?

Yes, we are members of the British Inflatable Hirers Association.

Can we hire more than one bouncy castle?

Yes as long as you have the space available. 

What type of event can your Bouncy castles/slides be hired for?

Almost any event, including Private Birthday parties for Children and Adults, barbeques, school fetes, carnivals, pub gardens, corporate days, school holiday camps, EID Celebrations, Christenings, Weddings, College Fun Days, Fund raising events and any other event where fun is required!

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, please read through our Cancellation Policy in full before booking your required Inflatables.

With effect from 1st December 2023 once a booking has been made with Big on Bouncing Limited either via telephone, email, via our website, via any of our social media accounts, text message or What’s App the following Cancellation Policy will apply to all bookings, as you the hirer have entered into a Contract with Big on Bouncing Limited.

We offer a free of charge cancellation option in the event of heavy rain or high winds if the booking is outside only. Our Free weather cancellation does not cover hot weather.  To take advantage of this option the hirer must telephone and email us no later Midday the day before the hire date. At this stage you will be able to rebook your Inflatable for a new date within 6 months of your original hire date, if you decide not to rebook the below cancellation policy will come into effect.  If the booking is cancelled for any reason after the time of booking or after Midday the day before the hire date due to weather, the following Cancellation Policy will also be applied:

  • Within 8 weeks prior to the event 25% of the order value
  • Within 6 weeks prior to the event 50% of the order value
  • Within 4 weeks prior to the event 75% of the order value
  • Within 2 weeks prior to the event 100% of the order value

In the event of multiple items being booked for the same event and the hirer requests to cancel one or more of these items the cancelled items will be invoiced as per our Cancellation Policy above.

All cancellation Invoices will be sent to the hirer and payment will be required to Big on Bouncing Limited within 7 days of the date of the Invoice.


Indoor Venues

If your event is being held in an Indoor Venue we require a one hour time slot before and after the event has finished for delivery, set up and collection. It is solely the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the venue size including the ceiling height is suitable for the hire equipment you have chosen. If we are unable to install the equipment due to the venue not being suitable, full payment will still need to be paid and there will be no refunds.

Is there anything the Customer must do before booking?

Please make sure you carefully measure the flat grass area or venue size for the bouncy castle or inflatable you would like to book. It is soley the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the space is suitable for your chosen equipment. We will not be held responsible if we arrive to install your chosen Inflatable and it does not fit, as 100% payment will still be required. All space required measurements can be found on your selected Inflatable description. When measuring your outdoor space please take in to consideration any non-movable items washing lines, ponds, sheds, swimming pools etc.

Are the inflatables available overnight?

Yes, they are at an additional cost of £50.00 per Inflatable and subject to availability; all overnight hires will be collected from 7.30am the following day. We will always require a £100.00 deposit for all overnight hires and two forms of identification, which is fully returnable on collection of the Inflatable if the equipment is not damaged and is clean and returned in the same condition it was left. We only are able to hire overnight to Private Secure Gardens, we are unable to hire overnight to venues due to Insurance.

Once you arrive how long does it take to set up and dismantle?

We always will require a clear access to deliver the inflatable. To set up and be ready for use normally takes between 10 to 15 minutes. It takes approximately the 15 – 30 minutes to deflate and pack away dependent on the size of the inflatable. Minimum Clear access area of 3ft is required, however some of our larger Inflatables require 3ft 6”, all details of our requirements you are able to be viewed on the item description. Please ensure your access is clear of any bins and rubbish etc before we arrive. If we are unable to immediately deliver the equipment, we may need to move on to another hire, and full payment will need to be paid in full, with no refunds.

Once the Bouncy Castle is erected can we move it?

No, definitely not, The Public Liability Insurance would be invalidated and it could be very dangerous to both the people moving it and the children bouncing on it.

Is our equipment safety tested?

Yes all our inflatables have safety PIPA/ RPII certificates and the blowers and extension leads all have RCD plugs fitted. It is also our policy not to have any tatty castles on our fleet so the castle you receive from us will be in excellent condition. We always supply safety mats with every inflatable at every entrance and exit on our equipment. We always ask that the hirer reads and signs our Terms & Conditions of Hire with Safety Instructions and User Guide. This will ensure that you know how to safely supervise the operation of the unit whilst in your care. A copy of our Terms & Conditions of Hire is available at any time on our website for the hirer and is also emailed to you when you make your booking with us.

What happens if it Rains during my Hire?

We are unable to control the weather. We will not be able to offer you a refund or any discount if it rains during your hire.  We kindly ask that the Inflatable is left running whilst it is raining, this will help the equipment to dry out quicker once the rain has passed.  However, If the winds do increase or there is any Thunder & Lightening the Inflatable must be switched off immediately. We would suggest after the rain has passed the hirer wipes the castle dry with old towels/ or similar before any of the Children/Adults go back onto the Inflatable.

What happens if the Temperature is very hot on my day of Hire?

We will always try to set the bouncy castle up away from direct sunlight in hot weather and try and establish your most shaded area when the sun is likely to be at its hottest.   However, this may not always be possible. Please be aware that bouncy castle material can get hot. Ensure you the hirer regularly checks the Inflatable before anyone uses it and all participants wear socks, long sleeves and trousers to minimise the risk of burns. Please make sure you rotate the safety mats at regular intervals to keep them cool.  Our free weather cancellation does not apply to hot weather.

How does the castle stay up?

By an electrical blower, which stays on all the time the inflatable is in use, we provide up to 40 metres of extension lead cable. We will not join extension leads any further than 40 metres. If a power supply is not available a generator can be supplied at an additional cost but is only available with Big on Bouncing staff and is Subject to Availability.

What is the cost per day to run a bouncy castle on my electric?

Believe it or not, it doesn’t cost any more than a £2 – £3 a day to run a Inflatable.

How do we pay?

We will make contact with you, the hirer, during the week before your Booking via email.  We will request your preferred method of payment, we are able to offer: Payments by BACS, or debit/credit cards, or Cash on delivery of our equipment with two forms of ID.  No equipment will be left with the hirer without full payment being received.    All Invoices for BACS must be paid no later than 6pm the night before the hire. We are able to accept cheques from Schools and Charities.
